Cater Oils collects waste cooking oil (WVO) to be used as feedstock for the production of biodiesel. Biodiesel, otherwise known as fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) is an environmetally freindly fuel produced by organic chemical synthesis of refined vegetable oils, waste cooking oils, animal fats and tallow, that would otherwise would have needed to be incinerated for disposal.
It is important that biodiesel is produced to this standard as substandard biodiesel will cause damage to engines and certainly will not offer the same environmental benefits as EN 14214 biodiesel.
Biodiesel produced from waste cooking oil has many performance enhancing properties when blended into fossil fuel for sale at UK forecourts.
